Level III Certification Requirements
Every armed guard we deploy carries a current Texas DPS Level III license. Here's what that involves:
- → Level II unarmed training (6 hours) — prerequisite
- → 15-hour firearms classroom training
- → Live-fire range qualification (handgun proficiency)
- → Full FBI background check and fingerprinting
- → Drug screening
- → Annual re-qualification at the range
For executive protection assignments, officers hold Level IV certification — an additional 15 hours of defensive tactics, threat assessment and protective detail training.
